YouTube и Variety представят премьеры новых шоу топ-креаторов на кинофестивале в Торонто

YouTube and Variety will host a first of its kind creator showcase and party on Sept. 10 at the Toronto International Film Festival celebrating the worldwide premiere of two new creator shows. The event will mark the debut of both projects as part of TIFF: The Market screenings. The showcase marks a milestone for the creator economy, TIFF and Variety. Top global creators Mark Vins and Ziwe will each screen never-before-seen YouTube shows at The Market. Vins of Brave Wilderness will premiere his feature-length documentary “Reef to Ridge,” which follows his team on a high-stakes expedition through the Galápagos to film endangered species. Ziwe will premiere two new episodes of her popular and culturally influential series “You’d Be an Iconic Guest.” Each screening will be followed by a Q&A with Variety’s executive editor of film, Matt Donelly. Both shows will move exclusively to YouTube later this year. The partnership underscores YouTube’s growing presence in the film and television space, as the platform continues to position its top creators alongside traditional studio talent at major industry events. Popular on Variety “YouTube is where the next generation of Hollywood is being built,” said Kim Larson, global head of creators, YouTube. “Our creators are redefining what entertainment looks like across every screen. Partnering with TIFF to debut these incredible shows proves that YouTube creators aren’t just participating in the industry’s future – they are actively leading it.” “We’re excited to partner with YouTube in its inaugural year at TIFF, spotlighting the extraordinary rise of creator-filmmakers who are pushing the boundaries of premium storytelling and redefining the next generation of cinematic voices,” said Dea Lawrence, co-president & publisher, Variety.
