Getting the opportunity to go backstage and spend time with Ykniece was a major highlight of the whole event. Being behind the scenes gave me a completely different perspective of the festival and allowed me to experience the energy in a way that most people don’t get to see. From the conversations to the atmosphere, being around so much creativity and talent made the entire experience feel surreal. One of the best parts about Wavefest was being able to meet so many other artists throughout the event. Every artist had their own style, personality, and story, and getting the chance to connect with different people in the music scene made the day even more special. It was more than just watching performances—it was about networking, building connections, and being surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do. Meeting Ykniece and the many other artists reminded me just how much talent is coming out of this scene. And of course, I can’t talk about Wavefest without talking about how much fun the 757 was! The energy was unmatched from beginning to end. The people, the music, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe made it a day to remember. The 757 knows how to show up and represent, and Wavefest was a perfect example of that. I left with great memories, new connections, and an even bigger appreciation for the culture and talent coming out of the area.
