UPDATE: Any Gang Activity In Wyoming? You might look at a state like Wyoming and think, there can't be any 'gang' activity there. The place is about as rural as it gets. I mean, maybe a pack of wolves can be called a gang, but that is about it. Well.... Wyoming is indeed minimal compared to larger states, but law enforcement tracks a low-key presence of motorcycle clubs, street gangs, and prison groups. There are Groups like the Sons of Silence MC that maintain a notable presence in parts of the state. So you can't think of gangs in Wyoming like you would in a major city. They look a little different out here. Low-level affiliations with national groups like the Sureños and MS-13 have been noted along major routes like the I-80 corridor. Some of our biggest and busiest towns, like Cheyenne and Laramie County, have what could be called spillover of criminal networks and gang members from nearby metropolitan hubs like Denver and Salt Lake City. Our state prisons watch for gang activity that might form inside the prison. I found a list online of Wyoming gang activity that goes back about 40 years. You can see that list at this link. But most of the activity that you will read there ended a long time ago. What we can gather from this is that most Wyoming 'gang' activity is transient. They are just passing through, in most cases, and do not have any intention of making a permanent presence in Wyoming. There is simply nothing here for them.
