Wood County Hospital marks 75th anniversary with community reception, ribbon cutting The hospital unveiled a new history wall and launched a capital campaign through the Wood County Hospital Foundation BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) - Wood County Hospital marked its 75th anniversary with a community leadership reception and ribbon cutting on Thursday at its main entrance on West Wooster Street. The event brought together local leaders, doctors, donors and business partners to look back on the hospital’s history, including the unveiling of a new history wall. Hospital leaders said the goal is to keep the hospital strong and independent for future generations. Stanley Korducki, president of Wood County Hospital, said local access to care has been central to the hospital’s mission since its founding. “The real special sauce for the hospital is it was created to provide local access to care so people did not have to go to Toledo or Detroit or another city. And so we have worked really hard to bring a robust portfolio of services here so people do not have to travel,” Korducki said. The hospital also launched a capital campaign through the Wood County Hospital Foundation. Latest Local News | First Alert Weather | Crime | National | 13abc Originals Copyright 2026 WTVG.
