"They liked the location, the park, and the ocean views never to be built out," he said. "Plus it's a great size unit." Cotality records show it was sold after 25 days on the market. "Positioned in one of Wollongong's most tightly-held coastal pockets, this exceptional three-bedroom residence combines generous proportions, privacy, spectacular views, and an enviable lifestyle location," the property's marketing states. A neighbouring property also scored an eye-watering price earlier this year. Wollongong's unit sales market experienced a strong start to 2026 when the penthouse apartment changed hands for a multi-million dollar price. Picture: Supplied At the time, selling agent, Darren Kay from Belle Property Illawarra said there had been strong levels of inquiry, and it had been snapped up by a Sydney buyer looking for a part-time residence. "They liked the location, with incredible views from the top floor," Mr Kay said. Other recent apartment sales in Wollongong have included 1/32 Cliff Road, Wollongong, which sold for $4.1 million in March. Meanwhile, 7/60-62 Cliff Road, Wollongong sold for $3.2 million in February. Also, a single bidder was enough to secure the sale of an eye-catching Wollongong apartment under the hammer in July. The "immaculately presented" listing situated in "one of Wollongong's best locations" fetched more than $2.8 million. The three-bedroom apartment is located at 1/21-25 Wilson Street, Wollongong.
