Дикий индейка стал причиной пробок и разделил мнения покупателей в Сью-Сити

Wild turkey causes stir on Sunnybrook Drive in Sioux City SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A wild turkey is drawing attention from drivers and shoppers along Sunnybrook Drive in Sioux City. Kristen Rhymer, with My Jeweler, said the turkey stops traffic and prompts different reactions from customers. “It’s pretty comical to watch him stop traffic and we also have customers who are either very intrigued in taking pictures or terrified and we have to go shoo him off so they can come in the store,” Rhymer said. The turkey often visits the stores and is attracted to its own reflection in the shop windows, according to people familiar with it. It usually avoids people but shows interest in trucks that deliver mail and packages. The turkey also goes by multiple names. Leslie Gray, with EFS Group Wealth Management, said a name for the bird came from a nearby bank. “So we first heard the name apparently came from the bank down the way. They called him Jake. So then we were like, oh, there’s Jake the turkey. And one of our clients one time came in and they said, no, that’s a Jane. So then we started calling her Jane because they said they know they’re birds,” Gray said. Rhymer said she and others at her store call the turkey by a different name. “And we’ve always called him Jerry. I don’t know where the name came from. It’s just that’s Jerry the turkey. It’s just it’s apparently meant to be a J name regardless of gender,” Rhymer said. Want to get the latest news and weather from Siouxland’s News Source?
