Школа Wheeling Park High отметила 50-летие и открыла учебный год с новым программным курсом

Wheeling Park High marks 50th anniversary as Ohio County students return to class OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. — Ohio County students returned to class Wednesday, and at Wheeling Park High School the first day came with a milestone year. Nearly 1,400 students walked through the doors as the school marked its 50th anniversary. Seniors and mentors cheered on underclassmen as they arrived for their first day. “We always love the first day of school. As teachers, we get as excited as the kids do,” said Meredith Dailer, principal of Wheeling Park High School. Senior Siyan Lopez said the start of the year still brings a sense of welcome. “Even not as a newcoming student, it just feels welcoming. It’s awkward a little bit, but it’s nice to know that when you go into the school, you see what you’re going to become. You know, you’re going to be Park and hopefully one day be one of those mentors welcoming in the freshmen one day,” Lopez said. Wheeling Park High School also debuted its new “Building Animation Systems” program, described as the first of its kind in West Virginia.
