В Австралии набирает популярность мужской лагерь по дыхательным практикам, где участники плачут в бассейне

On today’s episode of Straight Men Are Not OK, a video of dudes holding each other in a pool and crying together in their skivvies is going viral. Despite the way it looks, this is not footage from Bear Week in Provincetown, but an emotionally intense breathwork exercise at a weekend-long camp called Breathless Expeditions in Australia. TBH, we don’t think we’ve ever done anything this gay. Watch. How about we take this to the next level? Of course, the internet quickly rushed to troll the “incredibly powerful practice,” which involved 20 men climbing Mt. Hotham Summit in “minimal clothing,” and climbing into a lake which simulates “the same temperature as the womb.” “I have a boyfriend and I have never done anything [this] gay,” one user joked on Reddit, while another quipped that “they look like they’re getting ready to heal him from the inside.” Oop! Still, our favorite might have been the commenter who wrote that “this would heal me, but the only thing wrong with me is I like hooking up with dudes.” LOL. The entire thing seemed to recall those Andrew Tate and Joe Rogan-approved alpha camps that went viral earlier this year. (You know, like Virginia’s three-day RISE program for beta males, where dudes beat the sh*t out of each other and try to get to the bottom of deep, dark issues like if their “d*ck [is] not big enough.”) That said, it seems that Breathless Expedition’s trips (which cost their male participants upwards of $2000) are markedly less toxic than the other dude camps we’ve seen on social media. What appears to be a bizarre exercise inviolving dudes touching each other in a pool is actually about giving one’s self over to needing another’s support and letting down those masculinity walls that often prevent us from being vulnerable. And according to a description on their website, these trips “enable men to take a look at what’s going on for them in a safe place and positive environment” with hiking, meditation, cold water exposure, and breathing exercises. Which is a far cry from the American MAGA men who are literally digging their own graves in hopes of “unf*cking” their lives. Furthermore, a quick examination of Breathless Expeditions’ Instagram reveals that their programs are not exclusive to men at all. In addition to their dudes-only trips, they also offer specific get-togethers for women, as well as co-ed group experiences. “Recognizing that every breath holds the potential to reshape an individual’s state and enhance their readiness for life’s demands, we are committed to making breathwork accessible to everyone, everywhere,” their website reads. “We’ve yet to meet someone who doesn’t deserve to breathe a little easier.” OK, so maybe we (and the rest of the internet) prematurely judged these nearly nekkid dudes and their breathing exercises. But in our defense, the whole thing did look very gay, but perhaps they’re on to something. If you see us trying this out in the pool at Boatslip next summer, don’t judge!
