Vernon Chamber of Commerce hosting annual AGM and economic outlook Chamber hosts AGM The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) is inviting local business owners and community leaders to its upcoming Annual General Meeting and Economic Outlook presentation. The event takes place on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Best Western Pacific Inn in Vernon, beginning with registration and breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Alongside official chamber business, including the swearing-in of the 2026-27 board of directors, attendees will receive an economic presentation from representatives of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). The presentation will cover macroeconomic trends, labour market conditions, interest rates, inflation forecasts and operational strategies. “Our AGM is an essential moment to reflect on the strength of our business community while looking ahead to new opportunities and challenges,” Sonja Harkness, executive director of the GVCC said. “Partnering with BDC allows us to provide direct economic intelligence that empowers local business owners to make informed strategic decisions in the year ahead.” Pre-registration is required online at vernonchamber.ca.
