“Hidden Gem” For Tasty Fish Fry In Western New York Here in Western New York, we LOVE fish fries and helping out local restaurants, and you can do both with a quick trip to Varysburg. If you grew up here in Western New York, you know of the Varysburg Hotel Bar and Grill. It first opened in 1903, and now it has a new owner, has been completely remodeled, and might be the best spot for a Friday Fish Fry. "Hidden Gem" For Friday Fish Fry In Western New York When you think of a Friday Fish Fry here in the 716, you think of a piece of fish that is so big, it hangs over the plate. You think of sides, and lots of them, and you think of a tasty meal that leaves you wanting to come back the next Friday. The Varysburg Hotel Bar and Grill has all that and more. It has a brand new owner who spent the past couple of years remodeling the entire place. The bar is bigger, there are Airbnb rentals on the top floor, and the food is out of this world. My wife went there a couple of weeks ago, and it was worth the trip from Hamburg. The Fish Fry was amazing, and everything you would want and more from a Fish Fry. I ordered the smash burger with cheese and bacon, and that was delicious. It was so good, I wanted to order another one, but we had to try the pizza too. This is true Buffalo pizza with the cup pepperoni and gooey cheese. Plus, they have Pizza specials on Thursday, where you get a large pizza for just $15. They also have wing deals and live music on the weekend.
