Генеральный директор United Way округа Невада уходит в отставку в конце 2026 года

NEVADA COUNTY, Calif. — September 9, 2026 — United Way of Nevada County (UWNC) has announced that Louise Reed, Chief Executive Officer, will retire at the end of 2026 after more than four years of dedicated service to the organization and the Nevada County community. Since joining United Way of Nevada County in 2022, Reed has led the organization through a period of growth, expanded community partnerships, and the development of programs designed to address the gaps in services to community members. During her tenure, UWNC has strengthened and expanded its efforts to address food insecurity, provide emergency financial assistance, support disaster preparedness, and connect residents with essential resources. Reed has also worked to build strong relationships with local nonprofits, businesses, schools, government agencies, volunteers and donors, recognizing that lasting community impact comes from working together. One of the highlights of Reed’s tenure has been the continued growth of the School Pantry Program, which brings fresh food to 17 local schools for students and their families to take home. UWNC has also launched the Nevada County Emergency Fund, providing one-time financial assistance to community members for an unexpected essential expense. “Louise has brought tremendous energy, compassion and commitment to United Way of Nevada County,” said Josh Bostic, President of the UWNC Board of Directors. “Her leadership has helped strengthen the organization and expand the ways we serve our community. We are incredibly grateful for the incredible amount of energy and heart that Louise brought every day and the impact she has made.” Reed says her decision to retire was not an easy one. “Leading United Way of Nevada County has been an incredible honor,” said Reed. “I am so proud of what our small but dedicated team has accomplished alongside our volunteers, board members, donors and community partners. The work we do is about people helping people, and I have been fortunate to witness that generosity and compassion every day.” “Over the past four years, I have seen firsthand what is possible when our community comes together around a shared commitment to helping our neighbors,” Reed continued. “I will leave knowing that United Way of Nevada County has a strong foundation and a community of people who care deeply about its future.” The UWNC Board of Directors has begun planning for the organization’s leadership transition and will announce additional information about the search for Reed’s successor as it becomes available. Qualified applicants are welcome to send a resume and cover letter to [email protected] until the September 25. The board is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the momentum of UWNC’s programs and community partnerships. “While we will certainly miss Louise, we are excited about the future of United Way of Nevada County,” Bostic said. “The organization is strong, our community partnerships are growing, and there is tremendous opportunity ahead.” About United Way of Nevada County United Way of Nevada County works with the community to provide immediate relief and long-term solutions to individuals and families in need.
