Twin Falls Sandwich Company marks 14 years in business Local shop credits community support for longevity TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls Sandwich Company has been serving the community for more than a decade, opening its doors on June 27, 2012. Owner Shane Cook said he spent decades in the restaurant industry before deciding to go into business for himself. “I was just sick of it. Sick of the hours, sick of everything. And I took a little break and one of my buddies said, ‘Hey, there’s this place for rent downtown, you should go check it out.’ Well, one thing led to another and we opened up the Twin Falls Sandwich Company on June 27th, 2012,” Cook said. Cook launched the shop with a three person team— one in the kitchen and one front of house. “The first day, the community just blew up on us. I mean, immediately I was hiring more people,” Cook said. Cook said the shop prioritizes fresh, locally sourced products. “We try to use as many local products as we can. Our beef comes from a company on the Idaho-Oregon border called Cattleman’s. We get our bread from either the Wood River Valley or Salt Lake. Really, we try to make the freshest products possible with the best ingredients,” Cook said. In addition to sandwiches, the shop serves burgers, salads and breakfast. Cook said the shop’s most popular item is the Turkey Club, though he has his own favorites. “The French dip is one of my favorites. Or I really like to get something called a Dirty Joe with a side of au jus. It’s basically like a Philly cheesesteak and you get some au jus dipping sauce,” Cook said. Cook said customers should expect a longer wait than at fast-food sandwich chains. “A common misconception is that we’re going to be like Subway or something like that where everything’s just pumped out real quick. It does take a little bit of time because we do make everything from scratch and fresh,” Cook said. Cook said that includes French fries and potato chips prepared from whole potatoes. “It will take a little bit more time, but you get a very fresh quality product,” Cook said. Cook said giving back to the community has been a highlight of owning the business. “We try to support them as much as we can and the community has always given back to us,” Cook said. “After 14 years, you get to see people have kids. You get to see those kids grow up.” Copyright 2026 KMVT. All rights reserved.
