Основатель TVF рассказал, как мать спасла компанию от банкротства во время пандемии

TVF founder Arunabh Kumar has opened up about the difficult period he faced while building The Viral Fever and how his family became his strongest support system when the company was struggling to survive. The entrepreneur and content creator revealed that during a particularly difficult phase around the Covid period, his mother even invested money from her provident fund savings to help him pay the salaries of TVF employees. Speaking about the challenges TVF faced, Arunabh recalled a time when the company had limited options and was struggling with the question of survival. He said, “During the second Covid, when the Panchayat was formed, when it was hit. Even after that, we had a big problem in front of us, how to survive. We did not have many ways.” Arunabh credited his wife and mother for standing by him during that phase. He added, “And I will say there that my wife and my mother supported a lot.” Apart from his family, Arunabh also acknowledged colleagues including Deepak, Anand and Anand Singh, recalling how the team decided to continue working together despite the uncertainty surrounding the company. As TVF’s workforce had grown, one of the biggest challenges was ensuring that employees continued receiving their salaries. Arunabh revealed that his mother stepped in at that point and offered the money she had saved through her provident fund. Recalling the moment, he said, “But there were some more people, the employees had increased. So at that time, our mother put the money of her provident fund.” For Arunabh, the gesture was deeply emotional and also reflected the faith his mother had placed in his vision. He said, “So I was very proud of my mother. Not only my mother, she also showed me TV serials. And she also saved TVF from Covid.” The Viral Fever emerged as one of the early forces behind India’s digital-content boom, building an audience through stories centred on relatable characters and everyday experiences. Over the years, TVF has created several successful shows and franchises while also giving opportunities to actors, writers and creators who later became familiar faces across the entertainment industry. Arunabh’s account of the company’s difficult period shows that its growth did not come without financial uncertainty and difficult decisions behind the scenes. His mother’s decision to put her own savings into the company ultimately became one of the most personal chapters in TVF’s journey, with Arunabh crediting both his mother and wife for helping him continue when survival itself had become a challenge.
