Автор письма критикует политику Обамы в отношении Ирана и оправдывает немедленные действия Трампа

Thank you, Rev. Martin Toepke-Floyd, for your response to my comments to your recent comments in The Jamestown Sun. As I see it, your letter to the editor on the recent attacks on Iran by President Trump criticized “Did you do this? Did you do that?” and my response was, basically, “There was no time! Iran was about to have a nuclear bomb, and action had to be taken immediately.” But I do share your frustration. There was time. President Obama had eight years to do every single thing you asked President Trump to do. He had eight years, Marty. But what did Obama do? He sent pallets of cash … billions of dollars to the Mullahs of Iran. They continued their killings of Americans, of their neighbors, of their own people, and their trek to a nuclear bomb continued unabated. ADVERTISEMENT President Trump stopped that. Your North Korean analogy is, I think, inapt. Iran is a state run by crazy Mullahs. North Korea is a state that is run by an idiot (but not a religious idiot) ... North Korea is totally controlled by China. China knows that if a nuclear device were launched against the USA by North Korea, the response would be to North Korea. And China. Your statement, Marty, that “my ethics are the ideal” left me confused as to how to respond. I make no such claim as to my ethics — but I do believe my argument is more cogent.
