Tommy Fury addresses father John's prison sentences as he's asked who's the better dad Tommy Fury has addressed growing up without his father, John Fury, while he was in prison Tommy Fury has addressed growing up without his father, John Fury, while he was in prison, as he was asked who is the better dad between the pair on their BBC podcast. It was previously announced that Tommy has joined forces with his dad, John, for what the BBC described as the 'ultimate showdown'. They are fronting a new BBC video podcast, which is available on BBC iPlayer, packed with family banter and fiery debates, called What The Fury?! It comes after Tommy's documentary series with the broadcaster, Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury, which followed the boxer for two series. The BBC previously said Tommy and John's new 10-part podcast series will see the father and son "sit down face to face to clash over the biggest themes and craziest phenomena of modern life." John, who is also the father of former heavyweight champion Tyson, served four years of an 11-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2011 for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Speaking on What The Fury?!, Tommy said: "I don't think I come anywhere close to what you've done as a dad. I can answer that one very confidently because of what you did for us, going through prison sentences, and then while you were away doing that, we still had food on the table every night, all the bills were paid, the roof was over our heads, [we] still had birthdays and Christmases. "And I think to do all that and not be there, I don't think a lot of men could do it." John replied: "Thank for the gratitude," before praising Tommy over his relationship with his daughter, Bambi, with the podcast seemingly being recorded before the birth of his second child, Midas, with partner Molly-Mae Hague. "Well, let me tell you this, there's things you do that's better than I could ever do. I watch how you go on with that baby, you're there for every need possible. I was only a provider and a guidance. Your mother [did the] bulk of the work. You do a lot of hands-on stuff for that baby I couldn't even imagine doing. I've got to give you credit for it, son. You jumped in at the deep end. You've done a marvellous job." As fans know, Tommy and influencer Molly-Mae, who met and fell in love on Love Island back in 2019, welcomed their second child earlier this month, three years after the arrival of their first, daughter Bambi. They announced their son's arrival on June 3 by sharing a joint Instagram post, which featured a picture of the newly expanded family for the first time, but didn't confirm they'd had a boy until later, sharing the news alongside a sweet video of Bambi meeting her baby brother for the first time. It was later again that they confirmed his much-anticipated name, Midas, with Tommy sharing the news during his return to the boxing ring, as he faced the former world's strongest man, Eddie Hall, at the AO Arena.
