Thomas Family Funeral Home celebrates 100 years of serving the Minot community MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - A Minot business helping families celebrate the lives of their loved ones is celebrating 100 years. Thomas Family Funeral Home started in 1926. Brad Thomas said his grandfather moved the business from its original location a few blocks down to where it stands today. He and his brother, Brian, took over ownership in the late 80s. Brad said they have seen several other changes over the years, like technology and personalization. “Video tributes, there’s live streaming of services, there’s the ability to make funeral arrangements long distance, via email,” said Brad. They’re located in the 300 block of South Main Street in Minot. The funeral home is hosting an anniversary event Wednesday from 4–7 p.m. Copyright 2026 KFYR. All rights reserved.
