Рейтинг лучших адвокатов по личным травмам в Миссури: пять лидеров, выбранных по реальным судебным результатам

Article source: Kansas City Accident Attorneys Missouri has no shortage of personal injury attorneys. A search for an injury lawyer in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, or elsewhere in the state produces hundreds of options, many making essentially the same claims about experience, results, and aggressive representation. Determining which attorneys actually stand out requires looking beyond advertising. For this ranking, we evaluated Missouri personal injury attorneys based primarily on the factors that matter when a serious case has to be litigated: trial experience, significant verdicts and settlements, peer recognition, professional credentials, experience handling complex cases, longevity, and reputation within the legal profession. Client reviews and accessibility were considered, but they were not allowed to outweigh demonstrated legal ability. There is no objective designation of the single “best” personal injury lawyer in Missouri, and the right attorney will always depend on the facts of a particular case. Based on our research and criteria, however, these five attorneys stand out. 1. Daniel A. Thomas, Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys Our choice for the best personal injury lawyer in Missouri is Daniel A. Thomas of Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys. Thomas has practiced law in Missouri since 2003 and focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and has developed the type of professional record that is difficult to manufacture through marketing. Most notable is the consistency of his peer recognition. Thomas was selected to Rising Stars from 2008 through 2012 and has been selected to Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers every year from 2013 through 2026. He was also named to the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Top 100 list in 2014. Super Lawyers states that its selection process evaluates attorneys using multiple indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement and ultimately selects only a small percentage of practicing attorneys. That record is particularly compelling because it spans nearly two decades. An isolated award can be relatively uninformative. Sustained recognition by other members of the profession is more meaningful. Thomas also practices within a firm with substantial experience handling high-value personal injury litigation. Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys publishes results that include a $7 million motor vehicle wrongful death recovery involving Missouri dram shop liability, a $4.5 million motorcycle accident traumatic brain injury recovery, and a $3 million brain injury recovery. The firm handles motor vehicle collisions, trucking cases, medical malpractice, defective products, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, and other complex claims. The combination of Thomas’s experience, long-term peer recognition, plaintiff-side focus, and the resources of an established serious-injury practice puts him at the top of our list. Best for: Serious personal injury and medical malpractice cases, particularly in the Kansas City area. 2. John G. Simon, Simon Law Few Missouri plaintiff attorneys have a résumé comparable to John G. Simon of Simon Law in St. Louis. Simon has practiced in Missouri since 1986 and founded his firm in 2001. His practice encompasses personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, business litigation, and other complex plaintiff-side litigation. What separates Simon is the depth of his courtroom record and professional recognition. He was selected to Super Lawyers every year from 2005 through 2025 and repeatedly appeared among its highest-ranked Missouri and Kansas attorneys. His professional background also includes teaching Trial Advocacy as an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University School of Law. For a catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, product liability, or other case likely to require extensive litigation, Simon’s background deserves serious consideration. His career demonstrates experience not merely negotiating claims, but handling complex disputes where sophisticated defendants and substantial damages are involved. The distinction between a competent personal injury lawyer and an elite trial lawyer becomes increasingly important as the value and complexity of a case increase. Simon’s extensive litigation history places him firmly in the latter category. Best for: Catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and exceptionally complex high-value litigation. 3. Michael W. Manners, Langdon & Emison Michael W. Manners of Langdon & Emison brings an unusual qualification to plaintiff-side personal injury litigation: decades of experience both trying cases and evaluating them from the bench. Manners graduated from UMKC School of Law in 1976. Before becoming a judge, he spent approximately 24 years as a trial attorney. In 2000, Missouri Governor Roger Wilson appointed him as a Circuit Court Judge for Missouri’s 16th Judicial Circuit. He subsequently spent roughly 13 years on the bench and presided over nearly 170 jury trials. That judicial experience provides a perspective few practicing personal injury attorneys can replicate. Manners also holds significant trial credentials. He obtained a Certificate of Civil Trial Advocacy from the National Board of Trial Advocacy and was admitted to the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has served as president of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and has received significant recognition for his work both as a judge and attorney. Best Lawyers has recognized Manners since 2001 in Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs. He was also named its 2020 Personal Injury “Lawyer of the Year” for Kansas City. Manners is an especially strong candidate for a case involving difficult legal questions, appellate issues, product liability, corporate negligence, or litigation in which strategic judgment may be every bit as important as courtroom presentation. Best for: Complex liability cases, product liability, appellate issues, and cases presenting difficult questions of Missouri law. 4. Benjamin J. Sansone, Sansone & Lauber Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone & Lauber earns a place on this list because his record combines substantial personal injury results with meaningful courtroom experience. Sansone graduated in the top 10 percent of his class at Saint Louis University School of Law in 2002. His early career included insurance defense work before he moved to plaintiff-side personal injury practice, giving him experience with the way insurers evaluate and defend claims. His published results include a $14.2 million motorcycle crash verdict and a $7.3 million bus accident settlement. The firm reports that the $14.2 million result followed a pretrial insurance offer of only $200,000, an enormous difference that illustrates why willingness and ability to take a case to verdict can matter in serious injury litigation. Sansone has also received sustained recognition from Super Lawyers, with selections from 2018 through 2023 and again in 2025 and 2026, after previously being selected to Rising Stars. His listed practice areas include personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability. For someone evaluating attorneys after a catastrophic vehicle collision or another substantial injury, Sansone offers an important combination: experience dealing with insurers and evidence that he is prepared to reject an inadequate offer and litigate the case. Best for: Serious motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and cases involving disputed insurance valuations. 5. Brett A. Emison, Langdon & Emison The final attorney on our list is Brett A. Emison of Langdon & Emison. Emison represents plaintiffs in personal injury, product liability, and railroad litigation. Best Lawyers has recognized him since 2016, and he was selected as its 2026 “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs in the Kansas City metropolitan area. That recognition is particularly relevant to this ranking because Best Lawyers bases its selections heavily on peer review. In other words, the assessment reflects evaluations from other attorneys familiar with the quality of legal work performed within the relevant practice area. Emison also practices at a firm built around complex plaintiff litigation. Langdon & Emison has attorneys recognized in personal injury, product liability, trucking, railroad, and mass-tort litigation, making it particularly well equipped for cases requiring extensive discovery, expert testimony, accident reconstruction, engineering analysis, or litigation against major corporations. For a straightforward automobile claim, that level of infrastructure may not always be necessary. For a catastrophic injury involving a defective product, commercial vehicle, railroad, or corporate defendant, it can become extremely important. Best for: Product liability, catastrophic injury, railroad cases, trucking litigation, and complex claims against corporate defendants. How We Chose the Best Personal Injury Lawyers in Missouri No legitimate evaluation of personal injury lawyers should be based on advertising visibility alone. Large marketing budgets can make a lawyer highly recognizable without establishing whether that lawyer is the person you would want trying a multimillion-dollar case. Our evaluation therefore placed the greatest weight on demonstrated trial and litigation experience, substantial results, professional recognition from credible peer-review organizations, leadership within the trial bar, experience with sophisticated personal injury matters, and the resources available to prosecute a case through trial when necessary. We also gave additional weight to sustained accomplishments. Being recognized by peers for 10 or 20 years tells us more than appearing on a single annual list. That methodology produced a geographically diverse group with attorneys from both the Kansas City and St. Louis legal communities and with experience ranging from automobile and trucking cases to medical malpractice, defective products, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. Who Is the Best Personal Injury Lawyer in Missouri? Based on our research, Daniel A. Thomas of Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys ranks #1 on our list of the best personal injury lawyers in Missouri. Thomas’s combination of more than two decades in practice, plaintiff-side personal injury and medical malpractice experience, and an uninterrupted Super Lawyers selection history dating from Rising Stars recognition in 2008 through Super Lawyers recognition in 2026 makes his professional record particularly impressive. That does not mean Thomas will be the right lawyer for every Missouri injury case. A catastrophic product defect, complicated medical malpractice action, railroad injury, or highly specialized claim may call for a lawyer whose experience is concentrated in that particular area. The most important lesson from our research is that injured people should investigate the individual lawyer, not simply the law firm’s advertisements. Ask about jury trials, comparable cases, significant results, who will actually handle the case, and whether the attorney has the resources and willingness to litigate if the insurance company refuses to make a reasonable offer. For those criteria, Missouri has an unusually strong plaintiffs’ bar. Daniel Thomas, John Simon, Michael Manners, Ben Sansone, and Brett Emison represent five of its standouts.
