Звезда сериала «The Ark» раскрыла, как тайна клонирования изменит сюжет третьего сезона

The Ark’s Christie Burke Reveals How Garnet’s Bombshell Changes Everything (Exclusive) Spoilers ahead! The Ark star Christie Burke revealed how the bombshell in the Aug. 12 episode “The One” sets up Sharon Garnet’s journey for the rest of season three. Spoilers ahead for season three, episode three for The Ark! The Ark is tripling down on the drama. That’s because Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) learned she’s a Gen 3 clone in the Aug. 12 episode “The One,” a revelation that sets the stage for the rest of season three. “I think it becomes her purpose,” Burke detailed in an exclusive interview with SYFY Wire. “Once they get to Homebase, Garnet is really like, ‘What's my purpose here?’ There's a real sense of selfishness for the first time, where it's less about saving humans and more about saving her own kind.” The genetic bombshell, Burke continued, will become “very important motivation” for Garnet, whose family trauma has turned the reveal into a devastating full-circle moment. “That Gen 3 news launches her in a direction that she's excited to go towards, because you have to remember her sister was Gen 3,” Burke explained. “There's a part of Garnet who's always hoping he'll get to save her sister. In an alternate universe, she saves Denise. In a way, she goes on a new mission to heal that trauma that's been driving her for the last two seasons.” Meanwhile, Garnet is well aware Gen 3 clones are notorious for their corrupted genes and ensuing side effects, leaving her to wonder what makes her the lone success story. But for Burke, playing multiple versions of Garnet was an interstellar bonus this season, allowing her to bust out southern accents and an array of very un-Garnet hairstyles. “I had the freedom to really improv, whereas that's just not an option for Garnet,” she shared. “There were things I would find as the other characters that were just so funny. The times that it got really difficult is when it was like everyone in the scene is me.” Indeed, one moment in episode three saw Garnet walking by a padded room packed with several iterations of herself. And Burke was more than ready for the challenge. “They're like, ‘Christy, just go lose your mind,’” she revealed. “I was like, ‘I could do that.’ That's easy. That's another Tuesday for me.” Season three of The Ark is airing Wednesdays on SYFY.
