Сьюзан Харрис призналась, что на самом деле интроверт и не считает себя по-настоящему смешной

Susan Harris was much more introverted than her writing made her seem "I’m only funny on paper," Harris said. Though responsible for popular sitcoms like Soap and The Golden Girls, Susan Harris insisted that she was more of a comedic writer than a genuinely funny person. “I’m only funny on paper,” Harris said during an interview with The Miami Herald. “I guess I am shy.” Moreover, while she was always creative, Harris began writing for television more so out of necessity than actual desire. Watch The Golden Girls on MeTV! BACK-TO-BACK EPISODES Weeknights at 9 PM, Sundays at 5 PM & 7 PM *available in most MeTV markets “I needed a job,” said the creative. “I had no money. And one night, I was watching television and thinking, ‘This is awful. Anybody can do this.’ So I sat down and wrote a teleplay.” The script was purchased by NBC, and so began Harris’ writing career. Her then-husband, Paul Witt, brought her the premise of The Golden Girls. “I said, ‘I have to do that!’” said Harris. “I love it. It was fresh. It hadn’t been done before, a series about women that age. I could just see writing for those four ladies.” Of course, the actors who starred in the program obviously helped contribute to the show’s success. The cast included the likes of Betty White, Rue McClanahan, Estelle Getty, and Bea Arthur. “When you sit and watch the show being taped,” said Harris. “Well, those ladies can’t miss.”
