Провайдер Sparklight выделил грант в 5000 долларов фонду образования Маршалла для школьных проектов

Sparklight awards $5,000 grant to Marshall Education Foundation for classroom projects Published 5:30 am Wednesday, August 12, 2026 Internet and mobile provider Sparklight has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Marshall Education Foundation to assist with innovative Marshall ISD classroom projects. The grant was made possible through the Sparklight Charitable Giving Fund. “At Sparklight, giving back is a big part of who we are,” local field operations manager Mitchell Dodson said during a Monday ceremony. “We believe that strong communities are built through partnerships with organizations that create meaningful and lasting impact. One of our key giving priorities is education and digital literacy, because we know that investing in students today helps build stronger communities tomorrow.” Dodson said the Marshall Education Foundation has demonstrated a commitment to supporting educational opportunities that benefit students, teachers, and schools across the community. “The work you do helps inspire learning, encourage achievement, and create opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom,” he said as he presented a check to the foundation’s board. Dodson said Sparklight is proud to support organizations that share its vision of helping communities grow and thrive. “It is through partnerships like this that we can make a real difference in the lives of local families and future generations,” he said, thanking the foundation for what it does to assist the district’s students and educators. “We are honored to be part of your mission and look forward to seeing the continued impact of your work.” Christy Godwin, the foundation’s board president, expressed her gratitude for the funding, which will go to teachers’ projects. “This is a very large amount, and we can do a lot with this,” Godwin said. “This could be up to like 10 smaller grants (to teachers) or five bigger, pretty significant grants, or it could go towards one really, really impactful grant. So, it could be lots of things for lots of students and teachers.” She said such grants are particularly helpful to the Marshall Education Foundation as the organization is totally managed by volunteers. “Our mission is to put creative solutions into the classroom that the district is not able to fund,” Godwin said. “So we try to fill that gap.” Sparklight officials noted that the Marshall Education Foundation is one of 28 nonprofit organizations awarded funding from the more than $125,000 dispersed during the internet provider’s recent grant cycle. Applications for the fall 2026 cycle will be accepted Oct. 1-31.
