Актер Кадифф Кирван вызвал споры в соцсетях из-за откровенного фото с Беном Уишавом

Actor Kadiff Kirwan has prompted quite a bit of chatter with his latest Instagram photo drop. The 37-year-old is probably best known to US audiences for his role in Apple TV+ detective drama Slow Horses. He also appeared in the recent Supergirl movie, and the TV shows Chewing Gum, Doctor Who, I May Destroy You, and Fleabag. On Instagram this week, Kirwan posted photos from his summer. Among others, they feature fellow actors Michaela Coel and Olisa Odele, and a trip to Iceland to join an eclipse party hosted by Björk. However, it was the fourth slide that prompted particular attention. Kirwan appears to be wearing very little. In the comments, he assured followers that he was actually wearing a pair of Speedos. The photo made its way to X, where one user shared it with what appears to be a snide comment. Whatever the intent, the photo prompted further likes. look at me I’m Kadiff Kirwan and my best friend is Michaela Coel and my boyfriend is Ben Whishaw and i’ve got a perfect body pic.twitter.com/5jrQeLTZQu — wendell sandico (@wendellsandico) August 25, 2026 Is Kadiff Kirwan dating Ben Whishaw? That X post says Kirwan is dating Ben Whishaw, but neither actor has confirmed this publicly. The Sun first ran a story in January 2024 stating that the men were dating. It says that romance blossomed after they both appeared in the BBC drama This Is Going To Hurt. They have been photographed together several times since. He was asked who his dinner guests would be at his hypothetical last supper. He replied, “All my pals, my other half and my besties.” If Whishaw and Kirwan are not dating, they are, at least, close friends. Background Kirwan was born in Montserrat in 1989. In 1995, a volcanic eruption destroyed Kirwan’s home and his family relocated to Antigua. Two years later, he and his family moved to Preston in Northern England. He says that the move to the UK allowed him to discover drama and to more readily embrace his sexuality. He singled out a drama teacher for making a big impression on him. “When I was in year nine I had a drama teacher who just hounded me all the time as she wanted me to do GCSE drama as she thought it was not only a great place to express myself, but also find other colours,” he told Gentlemen’s Journal in 2024. “Pamela Hayward Connor. She’s been to see pretty much everything I’ve done. She changed my life. Without her, I think my life would be a little different, a lot more quiet. I knew I was queer, but I couldn’t say anything.” He says he secretly took up drama and landed a role in the school’s production of Bugsy Malone. He was also playing in the basketball team at the time and told none of his friends about the acting. “So I didn’t tell anyone, and the opening night, as I went on stage, I looked at the back of the auditorium and all my friends were there cheering. That moment made me realise this was the thing I wanted to do.” He came out to his family whilst at drama school. Or rather, his brother nonchalantly mentioned it to his parents, which Kirwan says he was grateful for. “I always thought that telling the people I loved that I was gay would result in me losing them,” he said. “But I didn’t realise that’s not the truth. It was a big transition, but we got there. Both of my parents passed away knowing exactly who I am and they embraced that.” Kirwan will next be seen in the movie Elsinore — a biopic of Ian Charleson starring Andrew Scott — and the HBO legal drama, War.
