В музее Сеймура состоится церемония звона исторического колокола театра Majestic

Seymour museum to host ringing ceremony for historic Majestic bell The Seymour Museum Center will be celebrating the restoration of the Majestic Theatre Bell with an event Saturday. The historic bell was rehung earlier this month after a restoration process. The Majestic started out as an opera house in Seymour in 1890 and later became a theater. Organizers say that the Von Trapp Family, immortalized in the “Sound of Music” film, performed at the Majestic. The bell hung in downtown Seymour before its restoration. The event will feature the unveiling and ringing of the historic bell. That will start at 6 p.m. at the museum on North Chestnut Street. Tickets are available at the Jackson County Visitors Center, Artistic Impressions or by calling 505-319-4899
