WTJU приглашает на неделю джазовых концертов в честь столетия и поддержки независимого радио

Save the Date: WTJU’s Jazz Marathon airs Sept 28 – Oct 4 By Nathan Moore Whatever tomorrow brings, you know that with WTJU as a companion, you won’t be alone. Jazz has helped us weather stormy times before. It teaches us to improvise! Last year, when WTJU lost federal funding, our listeners stood by community radio. Your generosity kept WTJU alive and thriving. But the music and WTJU still need you… Please donate today. Tune in for WTJU’s 2026 Jazz Marathon, filling the airwaves with a full week of jazz and blues specials from September 28th to October 4th. In their 100th birthday year, we’re bringing curiosity and celebration as we dive deep into the legacies of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. We’re also honoring the life of Dave Rogers, aka Professor Bebop, who shared his passion, brilliance, and inimitable style on WTJU’s airwaves for half a century. Every night at 8 p.m., we’ll pay our respects to the local music scene as we feature SEVEN live jazz and blues performances – John D’earth & Will Evans, Paulien, Corey Harris, Jeff Massanari, Greg Weaver’s Limit Break 4, Sharel Cassity, and Ryan Snow’s Electric Band! As WTJU begins its second year with zero federal funding, our mission remains vital: to serve this music-loving community. Your donation ensures that we can meet this moment and build a strong future for jazz and blues right here on WTJU. Sustain the sound: please make your generous contribution today.
