В районе RPGA за первые полгода выдано 93 разрешения на строительство, что превышает показатели прошлого года

The RPGA Planning District saw steady building activity through the first half of the year, with permit numbers coming in slightly ahead of the same period last year.  General Manager Lucie Maynard said the district received 93 permit applications in the first six months of the year.  “We had another healthy six months of the year, very similar to last year,” said Maynard. “We had 93 applications. Of that, created 81 doors, like new residential units. So that’s duplexes, single families, multi-units. So it goes by the number of doors and then seven new businesses.”  Related stories: Maynard said the year started slightly ahead of 2025, though the difference became more noticeable heading into the second half of the year.  “I would say it was slightly ahead, not by a whole lot,” she said. “I think the second half of the year is where we see a little bit more of a spacing happening from last year to this year.”  Altona leads permit count  Altona accounted for 39 permits during the first half of the year, while the rural area of Rhineland saw 20 and Plum Coulee recorded 16.  “If we look at it per capita, I guess Altona is seeing the higher jump than the rural area and then obviously Plum Coulee,” said Maynard. “That’s kind of the trend and that’s similar to what it was last year too. Not a big change there.”  The total value of permits reached 41 million dollars, including 18 million dollars in Altona and 22 million dollars in Rhineland.  More development expected  Maynard said Altona has seen infill development around Tall Grass Lane and Fifth Avenue, and she expects more permits to come forward in other areas of town.  “I think we will start seeing an increase in permits coming up for Millennium Drive and Parkland area because the town had just finished doing all of that infrastructure work,” she said.  In Rhineland, much of the activity has been focused in Plum Coulee.  “For Rhineland, most of it’s been in Plum Coulee,” said Maynard. “That’s pretty steady. I want to say all of the lots are sold, maybe not all built on just yet, but a lot of people were taking permits.”  Steady pace continues into August  Looking further into the year, Maynard said permit activity remained strong through August. By the end of that month, RPGA had issued 128 permits, compared to 114 during the same period last year.  “That’s a fairly large jump,” she said. “So it’s been steady.”
