Город Ролла присоединился к сети сельских инноваций для развития экономики региона

Building on an innovation ecosystem anchored in part by Missouri S&T, the City of Rolla has joined the Rural Innovation Network Led by the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI), the network was created to strengthen the economic future of rural America. S&T’s research, entrepreneurship programs and industry partnerships contribute to the region’s ability to develop and commercialize new technologies. The Kummer Institute and Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development provide resources for entrepreneurship and regional development. Resources include S&T’s Technology Transfer and Economic Development office, Missouri Small Business Development Center, NSF I-Corps programming, Makers Studio and the Missouri Protoplex. These create pathways for researchers, students and companies to move from experimentation and prototyping toward commercialization and production. The partnership adds to a growing regional innovation ecosystem that includes S&T’s research and commercialization programs, the Critical Minerals and Materials for Advanced Energy Tech Hub and industry partners such as Brewer Science and MO-SCI. “Rolla brings an extraordinary level of technical talent, research capacity and advanced-industry expertise to the Rural Innovation Network,” says Leah Taylor, director of community experience at CORI. “What is especially promising is the community’s focus on turning those assets into stronger pathways for founders, workers, students and local companies.” CORI works with a growing network of communities across the country to develop tech-based economies by supporting local leaders, learners and founders. Combining data, capital and hands-on partnership, CORI helps rural regions create jobs, launch startups and compete in the digital economy. Its work has supported more than 400 startups, 1,000 tech jobs and $238 million in follow-on investment. Learn more at ruralinnovation.us.
