Магазин Roanoke Mountain Adventures открылся в новом помещении рядом с Black Dog Salvage

ROANOKE, Va. – An update to a story we have been following closely here at 10 News about the progress of the move for a Roanoke home-grown outdoor business. As of Friday, Roanoke Mountain Adventures is open in its new location next to Black Dog Salvage. Workers at Roanoke Mountain Adventures were still putting the finishing touches on the new store about 30 minutes after opening. “Man, the sign we hung at 7 p.m. Last night,” Jeff Todd, of Roanoke Mountain Adventures, said. The team worked overtime to move from its former digs next to the Wasena Tap Room. “We could not be more thrilled with how much our team accomplished over the last couple days to just get us across the line and get open,” Todd said. Here there is more space, yet the outfitter is still near the Roanoke River and the Greenway. The new store occupies space once filled by Black Dog Salvage – which still uses the other half of the property. With additional space, the region gains an outfitter that sells everything from backpacks to bicycles. There are more new product lines to accompany the consigned products that have been the core of the business, which has its own aura. “So we were able to build in fixtures out of old, you know, apple bins and salvaged almost everything in here is repurposed in some form or fashion. Ladders, barn wood, you know. And so that is part of the vibe, but it’s also part of our kind of business’s purpose is to keep things in use, keep an ecosystem here,” Todd said. The store is officially open, but they will not be doing what they call their “Grand Opening” until October.
