Компании Secure Logiq и Cortech Developments запускают серию мероприятий по внедрению устойчивости на этапе проектирования систем безопасности

Secure Logiq and Cortech Developments have announced an innovative event, Resilience by Design, aimed at incorporating resilience into the initial stages of security system design. This CPD-accredited event is set to take place at The British Library in London on 16th September and at The Lowry in Salford on 7th October. The event will showcase Secure Logiq's proficiency in server and storage technology for HD surveillance alongside Cortech Developments' expertise in intelligent security management software. Operational considerations in security projects The event stresses that resilience should be planned from the project's inception rather than added later. It will explore how decisions in software, hardware, and infrastructure influence the long-term reliability and functionality of security systems. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of collaboration among manufacturers, integrators, consultants, and specifiers to achieve optimal results. Key topics include failover and redundancy, continuity planning, cybersecurity, and risk assessment throughout the project's lifecycle. Understanding resilience in system design The event aims to foster discussions about resilience at the design and specification stages Ben Yoxall, Managing Director of Secure Logiq, explains, "Resilience is one of those words that gets used a lot, but the important question is what it actually looks like when you start designing a system. It isn’t one product, feature or box you can bolt on at the end. It comes from understanding how every layer of the system interacts and making the right decisions early enough for them to make a difference." The event aims to foster discussions about resilience at the design and specification stages, focusing on infrastructure as a whole system rather than isolated technologies. Interactive learning and networking opportunities The event will feature identical morning and afternoon sessions, allowing flexibility for attendees. Participants will benefit from presentations by Secure Logiq and Cortech Developments, engage in open Q&A sessions, and network with industry peers. Nicole Davies, Marketing Manager at Cortech Developments, states, "There is a real benefit in bringing different areas of expertise into the same conversation. Software, hardware and infrastructure all have a part to play in creating resilient security systems, so it makes sense for us to look at those challenges together." Insights into resilient security systems Participants will gain insights into resilience as a lifecycle principle and explore strategies for failover, redundancy, secure infrastructure in cybersecurity, and risk management over a system's duration. The events, free of charge, are designed to enhance the professional knowledge of consultants and specifiers by offering CPD accreditation. The Southern event will be held on 16th September 2026 at The British Library, London, and the Northern event on 7th October 2026 at The Lowry, Salford. Secure Logiq and Cortech Developments are joining forces for Resilience by Design, a new CPD-accredited event designed to get consultants and specifiers thinking about resilience from the very beginning of the security system design process. Taking place at The British Library in London on 16th September and The Lowry in Salford on 7th October, the sessions will bring together Secure Logiq’s expertise in server and storage technology for HD surveillance with Cortech Developments’ intelligent security management software experience. Operational stages of a project The central message is simple: resilience is not something that can be added at the end of a project. Instead, the CPD will examine how decisions made across software, hardware and infrastructure all contribute to the long-term availability and continuity of a security system and why greater collaboration between manufacturers, integrators, consultants and specifiers can lead to better outcomes. Topics will include failover and redundancy, continuity planning, cybersecurity, infrastructure design and assessing risk throughout the design, deployment and operational stages of a project. Collection of individual technologies “Resilience is one of those words that gets used a lot, but the important question is what it actually looks like when you start designing a system,” says Ben Yoxall, Managing Director of Secure Logiq. “It isn’t one product, feature or box you can bolt on at the end. It comes from understanding how every layer of the system interacts and making the right decisions early enough for them to make a difference.” “That is really what these sessions are about. We want to get people talking about resilience at the design and specification stage and looking at the infrastructure as a complete system, rather than a collection of individual technologies.” Resilient security systems Each event will offer identical morning and afternoon sessions, giving delegates the option to attend at a time that best suits them. Alongside the main Resilience by Design CPD presentation, attendees will hear introductions from both Secure Logiq and Cortech Developments, take part in an open Q&A and have the opportunity to network with other consultants, specifiers and industry professionals. Nicole Davies, Marketing Manager at Cortech Developments, adds: “There is a real benefit in bringing different areas of expertise into the same conversation. Software, hardware and infrastructure all have a part to play in creating resilient security systems, so it makes sense for us to look at those challenges together." Role of secure infrastructure “We want delegates to leave with useful ideas they can take into their own projects, but also with the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and have conversations with other people facing many of the same design challenges.” By the end of the CPD, attendees will have explored resilience as a wider lifecycle principle, identified key failover and redundancy approaches, considered the role of secure infrastructure within cybersecurity strategy and examined how risks to continuity can be addressed throughout a system’s lifetime. The Southern Event takes place on Wednesday 16 September 2026 at The British Library, 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB. The Northern Event follows on Wednesday 7 October 2026 at The Lowry, Pier 8, The Quays, Salford, M50 3AZ. Both events are free to attend and provide CPD accreditation aligned with consultant and specifier requirements.
