В Блудер-Сити начнется реконструкция Nevada Way для улучшения безопасности пешеходов

Rep. Dina Titus, officials tout Phase II Nevada Way upgrades in Boulder City LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada Way, a key route through Boulder City’s historic downtown and a gateway for visitors headed toward Lake Mead and other nearby destinations, is set for a new round of reconstruction aimed at improving safety and access for pedestrians and other vulnerable roadway users. U.S. Rep. Dina Titus, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and Boulder City officials held a news conference Friday to outline the upcoming Phase II Nevada Way Reconstruction Project. The work is being funded in part by an $850,000 federal grant secured by Titus. “Nevada Way is a main thoroughfare through Boulder City, providing a gateway to Lake Mead National Recreation Area and other tourist destinations around Boulder City,” Titus said. “This project will contribute to Boulder City’s economic vitality while providing additional pedestrian safety measures for its residents.” The project will rehabilitate Nevada Way from Colorado Street to Park Street through the historic downtown area. It will also reconstruct Colorado Street from Nevada Way to Utah Street and Park Street from Nevada Way to Utah Street. Planned work includes repaving, restriping and replacing deteriorating asphalt. Safety and accessibility upgrades include raised crosswalks with pedestrian-activated flashing beacons, along with improvements to ADA and pedestrian access, particularly in areas where sidewalks and ramps are currently limited.
