Дистрибьютор Rabbit Films ищет партнеров для международного ремейка финского психологического триллера «Лечащий»

Finland-based distributor Rabbit Films is seeking to get a local psychological thriller remade on the international market. Six-part drama Healer, originally titled Parantaja, is available internationally, excluding Finland and Estonia, as both a finished series (6×45′) and a scripted format after Rabbit Films added the show to its scripted slate. Produced by Fire Monkey for streamer Elisa Viihde, Healer follows a respected surgeon whose career and identity collapse after a fatal medical error. Seeking refuge from the public fallout and the threats that follow, she moves with her family to Suomenlinna, an idyllic fortress island off the coast of Helsinki. There, she meets a charismatic wellness guru whose yoga collective offers an alluring alternative to the scientific certainty that once defined her life. But as her past follows her to the island, the promise of a fresh start becomes increasingly dangerous and the line between healing, manipulation and control begins to disappear. Created and written by Laura Suhonen and directed by Marja Pyykkö, the series stars Lotta Kaihua, Mimosa Willamo, Jussi Nikkilä, Lauri Tilkanen, Petteri Summanen and Stella Leppikorpi. “Healer combines an immediately distinctive world with a completely universal emotional core,” said Jonathan Tuovinen, senior VP international at Rabbit Films. “Its medical fall from grace, seductive wellness community and increasingly dangerous relationships give the series a clear hook as a finished title, while its premise and character dynamics make it highly adaptable as a scripted format.” Fire Monkey’s internationally distributed drama credits include White Wall, Bad Apples, Enemy of the People, California Commando and Seconds. The company was co-founded by veteran producers Roope Lehtinen and Mikko Pöllä, whose previous scripted successes include the internationally adapted Black Widows and Easy Living.
