Некоммерческая сеть ProHealth приобрела землю под строительство медицинского кампуса в Уокеше

ProHealth Care has purchased nearly eight acres of land in Waukesha as it prepares to create a medical campus. The Waukesha-based nonprofit health system paid $2 million last week for 7.8 acres located west of Meadowbrook Road, according to state property records. The property is immediately south of ProHealth Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin, a 40-bed rehabilitation facility at 1625 Coldwater Creek Drive that opened in 2008 as the first standalone rehab hospital in Wisconsin. “The land is for potential future growth, and ProHealth has no immediate plans for it at this point,” a ProHealth spokesperson told BizTimes. ProHealth’s potential development of the newly-acquired property first surfaced earlier this year when, in April, the Waukesha Plan Commission approved a new certified survey map creating an 18.4-acre site for ProHealth, which includes the 7.8 acres ProHealth acquired, as well as the property the existing rehab hospital is built on. A city staff report at the time said “Pro Health Care is looking to further develop this land in a campus-style medical facility.” No further plans have been posted by the city of Waukesha. The Carol O. Smart Survivor’s Trust and the Robert F. and Carol O. Smart Family Trust sold the 7.8-acre property to ProHealth. The ProHealth Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin was previously owned by Chicago-based real estate investment trust Ventas with ProHealth leasing the space, but ProHealth purchased the facility in 2021 for $28 million.
