ProCare Injury Specialists opens new clinic in Waco, focused on treating car accident patients WACO, Texas (KWTX) - ProCare Injury Specialists, a company focused on motor vehicle accident care, has just opened their 1st location in Waco, making it their 14th location along the I-35 corridor. Company expands along I-35 Founder Neil Boecking says they opened their first clinic in Austin 22 years ago, but it didn’t start out as a clinic focused on motor vehicle accident injuries. “Over the years, and really a passion led organization, we have come to the realization that we really love treating injured patients that are in motor vehicle accidents,” Boecking said. Today ProCare has clinics from Austin to San Antonio and as far north as Lubbock. Boecking says they chose to open clinics along I-35 because it is one of Texas’ busiest highways. “I-35 takes no prisoners,” he shared. “We think like fender benders, things like that, but it goes all the way through where loved ones pass away.” According to Boecking, what people don’t realize is that many facilities will not treat these kinds of injuries because of complicated auto insurance claims and liability processes. “If it’s an emergency an emergency room will see you, but outside of that it’s very difficult to get care,” he explained. Waco clinic opens after Temple location ProCare opened its Waco clinic on Aug. 19, almost one year after opening its Temple clinic. Dr. Austin Acosta says the reason they chose Waco is because it is an underserved community for these services. “When patients are getting injured here in the city they’ve had to travel to Austin or to DFW to see certain specialists,” Acosta explained. But at ProCare he says they offer a wide range of services. “We are head-to-toe care,” Acosta said. “We have orthopedic specialists, we have neurologists, we have behavior health counselors… we also have a medical intake team who can get the patients started on their treatment and on their referrals and on their recommendations.” Temple patient becomes first at Waco clinic In May Shawna Sanders was injured in a car accident and was referred to ProCare’s Temple location by her lawyer. “When you get into an accident and you’re hurt, you know obviously it’s scary, but it was so simple. I walked in, they held my hand, like you know we’re gonna do this and we’re gonna do this and it’s all about you,” she recalled. When ProCare officially opened their Waco clinic she became their first patient, now doing much better thanks to them. “From the staff to the doctors themselves it was awesome, like exceptional,” Sanders said.
