Министерство информации и вещания одобрило запуск тAMIL-канала Big TV Live

Pravasa Media LLP has secured regulatory approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to launch a Tamil news and current affairs channel named Big TV Live. According to the MIB listing, the satellite license permits uplinking and downlinking for the channel via the GSAT-30 satellite. The application was filed under the leadership of partners Shilpa Reddy Vulupala and Vennam Vijaya Kanth Reddy. The approval marks a key milestone in Pravasa Media’s expansion as it builds out a broader multi-language news network across South India. The media group originally launched its flagship Big TV brand in Telugu—which built a significant connected-TV footprint via platforms like JioFiber and JioTV—before securing MIB permission to expand into the Malayalam market with Big TV 24X7. With its entry into Tamil broadcast media, Pravasa Media enters a dense regional market dominated by established players including Sun News, Puthiya Thalaimurai, Thanthi TV, News18 Tamil Nadu, Polimer News, News7 Tamil, and Kalaignar Seithigal. Pravasa Media has not yet disclosed an official launch date, editorial leadership, or distribution timeline for Big TV Live.
