Polyblend confirms €4 million investment to accelerate the production of compounds based on recycled plastics The modernised production line is set to start operating at the end of 2027 and will produce up to 15,000 tonnes of compounds made from recycled materials per year Advertisement The project involves expanding an existing production line to manufacture a new generation of recycled compounds designed to meet growing market demand for sustainable solutions. The investment anticipates forthcoming European circularity requirements in the automotive sector. In particular, the proposed End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) Regulation is expected to introduce mandatory recycled-content targets for new vehicles, further increasing the demand for compounds incorporating recycled materials. The converted line shall start operations at the end of 2027 with a capacity to produce up to 15 kt of compounds based on recycled feedstock. This initiative is fully aligned with the Company’s strategy to accelerate the development of circular solutions and support customers in reducing their environmental footprint. By increasing the integration of recycled materials into its compounds, Polyblend actively contributes to develop a circular value chain. “This investment is a tangible demonstration of our ambition to accelerate the development of circular polymers and expand our portfolio of recycled solutions.
