Компания PCI Race Radios представила приложение AdvenShare для связи и трекинга в условиях отсутствия сотовой связи

PCI Race Radios Launches AdvenShare: Team Communication and Tracking App for Off-Road PCI Race Radios has introduced AdvenShare, a new mobile app built for off-road teams, overlanders, and backcountry travelers. The app combines push-to-talk communication, real-time team location sharing, and route recording in a single platform designed for environments where standard cell coverage is limited or nonexistent. What AdvenShare Does The core of AdvenShare is Radio over IP (RoIP) technology. RoIP transmits voice communication from two-way radios over internet protocol networks, including cellular data, private networks, and satellite internet connections. That last point matters: AdvenShare is designed to work with Starlink, which means off-road teams equipped with Starlink hardware can maintain communication and tracking far beyond the reach of standard cell towers. PCI intercoms have shipped with Bluetooth capability for years, and existing PCI intercom users can connect directly to AdvenShare without additional hardware. Team Location Sharing AdvenShare gives every member of a group real-time visibility on each other’s location. For convoy runs, group trail rides, and overlanding trips with multiple vehicles, this eliminates the guesswork of tracking down a separated rig. The platform shows team positions across trails, desert terrain, and backcountry roads in real time. According to Scott Steinberger, president of PCI Race Radios, the need for this kind of visibility is something he experienced firsthand racing in Baja for decades. “Communication is critical when you’re miles from civilization,” Steinberger said. PCI’s history includes pioneering off-road race communications through the Weatherman Relay before modern satellite technology existed. Route Recording and Sharing Beyond communication, AdvenShare records routes as users travel. Those routes can be shared with other users, groups, or posted to social platforms. It turns documented trail runs and overland trips into shareable content without needing a separate app to handle tracking and another to handle sharing. Privacy and Platform Details AdvenShare does not collect user data, according to app store disclosures. For riders and drivers operating in remote or sensitive areas, that is a meaningful distinction from other location-sharing platforms. The app is available now as a free download on iOS devices running iOS 16.6 or later. Android and web versions are in development. Pricing details have not been announced for premium tiers. Who Developed It AdvenShare was developed in partnership with Jeremy Ealand, who described the app as addressing a specific gap in outdoor recreation: reliable, team-based communication and location awareness when standard coverage fails. The app is designed to serve both individual recreational riders and event management teams that need situational awareness across large groups. Why It Matters Off-road and overlanding have grown significantly in recent years. More people are running remote trails and backcountry routes, and the tools available to keep groups safe and connected have not always kept up. AdvenShare pulls communication, tracking, and documentation into one place and ties it to PCI’s decades of motorsports communication expertise. If you run with a group, this app is worth downloading. The combination of push-to-talk radio capability with live tracking and Starlink support covers scenarios that most consumer apps cannot handle.
