Сенатор Оссофф инициирует расследование задержек с заселением военных семей на Форт Стюарт

Ossoff launches inquiry into Fort Stewart military housing delays Senator targets Balfour Beatty over late unit turnovers affecting relocating families FORT STEWART, Ga. (WTOC) - U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff is launching an inquiry into military housing delays at Fort Stewart following reports that military families are not getting into their homes on time after relocating. Ossoff is targeting privatized housing contractor Balfour Beatty, saying late unit turnovers are forcing incoming families to find other accommodations, causing financial strain and potentially impacting military readiness. In a letter to the Balfour Beatty CEO, Ossoff requested the average time it takes to flip units at Fort Stewart and how that compares to the national average. WTOC has previously investigated this issue, see below: “I have heard concerns from my constituents that Balfour Beatty Communities (BBC) is not preparing units in the time necessary for an incoming family to be able to move into upon their permanent change of station (PCS),” Sen. Ossoff wrote to CEO Jennifer Hill. “Servicemembers and their families give the greatest sacrifice for our Nation; we must ensure that we provide for them at home.” Balfour Beatty has previously faced investigations by Ossoff’s office regarding substandard conditions at both Fort Stewart and Fort Benning.
