Гэри О'Нил оценил потенциал Абдула Фатаву: у игрока «Суонси» высокий потолок

O'Neil: Fatawu Has a High Ceiling Thursday, 3rd Sep 2026 15:39 Town manager Gary O’Neil says he’s been pleased with the way winger Abdul Fatawu has started his career at Portman Road and believes the Ghanaian international has a high ceiling. Fatawu joined the Blues for £20 million plus £3 million in add-ons in July from Leicester City, signing a five-year deal. The 22-year-old has created five chances in his first two Premier League games for the Blues, his first-half cross having led to Leif Davis’s opening goal at Manchester United last Sunday. “Really pleased with him,” O’Neil said. “I’m still looking to help him improve a lot. Young, enthusiastic, great kid, works unbelievably hard. “As you can see, he has big moments that can change games, assists, can beat people one-v-one. I want to help him with his all-round stuff if I can. “I think there's still big gains to be made with him, just around his stuff when we're not so near the goal and how consistent he is with his link-up play and things that we can still help him with. “But a top, top talent. Love him. He's brought real energy to the group, he’s produced some big moments for us already. It will be a great test for him at the weekend against [Milos] Kerkez, probably. “I've been really, really pleased with him, but I do think we can still raise [him further], I think the ceiling is high with him. I don't see any reason that he can't be one of the wingers in the league that produces the best numbers. I think he's more than capable.” Photo: Matchday Images
