(WCJB) - Meet Mark Damohn, better known as “Dr. D”. A retired history educator and Florida Gator fan that dreamt of the night before kickoff, just like the rest of us, so much that he created a series of Gator-centered picture books. The series beginning with “T’was the Night Before Kickoff” and adding to the series “The Gator ABC Book”, “Albert and Alberta’s Great Florida Road Trip”, “Albert and Alberta go to Washington”, “T’was the Night Before Tipoff”, “Albert and Alberta’s Trip to The Swamp” and many more. “I was at the gym on a treadmill in the summertime thinking about how hot it is and waiting for cooler weather, and Gator football of course means cooler weather and the holidays. I thought of the book T’was Night Before Christmas and Gator football and it was T’was Night Before Kickoff.” said Damohn. The series of books can be found on Amazon, Ilene’s Gator Store, Alumni Hall on Archer Road and the University of Florida Bookstore on Museum Road. Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.
