Город Мейпл-Ридж продлил срок подачи заявок от поставщиков для плана действий при чрезвычайных ситуациях

New request for information deadline as City of Maple Ridge identifies suppliers of emergency services Published 11:45 am Wednesday, September 2, 2026 A deadline for businesses, organizations, and service providers to respond to a request for information supporting the city’s Emergency Operations Plan has been extended. The new deadline is now Friday, Sept. 18. The request for information is to help the city identify local and regional suppliers that may be able to provide services and supplies on an “as-and-when-requested basis” during emergencies such as floods, fires or earthquakes, including when residents or animals need to evacuate their homes. Services would be coordinated through the City’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), and may be needed in Maple Ridge or neighbouring communities, depending on the nature and location of an emergency. The city is hoping to hear from providers of: • facilities for emergency supply staging and distribution; evacuation reception centres or alternate EOC operations, including halls, arenas, conference centres, faith-based facilities, hotels and private facilities; • reception centre equipment, including tables, chairs and office equipment; • commercial accommodation for evacuees and displaced residents, including hotels, motels and extended-stay providers; • food and grocery services, including catering, prepared meals, grocery support and food distribution; • animal evacuation and support services for pets, hobby farms and livestock, including transportation, shelter, boarding, feeding, veterinary services, barns, kennels and feed suppliers; • transportation, including shuttle, accessible transportation and taxi services; • and basic-needs supplies, including pharmacy services and vouchers for clothing and other essentials. The city is noting the request for information is to help the them to understand the range of services and capacity available before an emergency occurs. It is not a contract award or commitment to purchase services. Suppliers now have until 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, to submit a response. Documents are available free of charge through BC Bid at: www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. Responses and enquiries must be submitted by email to: [email protected]. The city is advising all addenda, amendments and further information will be posted on BC Bid. Interested suppliers are responsible for monitoring the site for updates before the closing date.
