Ассоциации NABA и APWPT объединились для защиты частот беспроводного оборудования в Северной Америке и Европе

The North American Broadcasters Association and the Association of Professional Wireless Production Technologies are teaming up to support wireless microphones and other production gear in North America and Europe. The organizations said the partnership will focus on gathering data about how wireless production equipment is used in the industry and how regulatory changes could affect live shows, including cultural performances and sports events. The two groups said broadcasters, media production professionals, RF coordinators, equipment users and manufacturers, cultural associations, scientists and labor unions all have an interest in preserving spectrum for wireless event production. Jochen Zenthöfer, APWPT chairperson, said the groups want to work together to advocate for interference-free frequencies for program-making and special events applications through international exchange of data and strategy planning. He said the effort will also include public advocacy for policymakers and regulatory bodies, along with educational and public relations activities. Rebecca Hanson, NABA director-general, said wireless production technologies are fundamental to live broadcasts of sports, entertainment and news around the world. She said broadcasters and media producers need reliable access to interference-free frequencies as demand for spectrum grows and regulatory policy changes reshape access. NABA is a nonprofit association of broadcasting organizations in North America. APWPT is a global nonprofit organization that represents users and manufacturers of wireless production equipment and specializes in technical issues affecting wireless radio systems. APWPT is a member of working group FM51 under the Electronic Communications Committee of CEPT, which focuses on PMSE and the flexible use of the 470 to 694 MHz band.
