В Коннектикуте найден труп 32-летнего мужчины, упавшего с водного мотоцикла

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WFSB) - The body of a missing jet skier was recovered Monday from the Connecticut River, according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Jose Nunez Quezada of New Haven. DEEP said Quezada was recovered north of the Bissell Bridge. South Windsor officials said they received a report just after 7 p.m. Sunday saying a man had fallen from a jet ski south of the Interstate 291 bridge. According to the Windsor Fire Department, the man was a passenger on the back of the jet ski and fell backward after the jet ski hit an obstacle. The search for Quezada was paused overnight and resumed at 9 a.m. Monday, according to DEEP. South Windsor police said the search had become a recovery mission. South Windsor Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Savelli said the location presented logistical challenges. “It’s a very busy boat launch, so logistically getting people in and out, getting emergency vehicles in and out, staging and whatnot, it’s very limited in terms of space, you know, has been hard,” Savelli said. Multiple agencies, led by DEEP and including first responders from Connecticut State Police, South Windsor, Windsor and Suffield, responded to the area. Savelli said the area is heavily used for recreation. “It’s just people down here. It’s a very large recreational area. It gets visited a lot. So there’s a lot of jet skis, boats, you know, things of that nature,” Savelli said. Channel 3 will continue to provide updates to this story as soon as they become available.
