Mules, skinners again star in Enterprise for Hells Canyon Mule Days Published 5:00 am Wednesday, September 2, 2026 ENTERPRISE — The 45th annual Hells Canyon Mule Days once again celebrates mules and mule skinners Sept. 11-13. This year’s grand marshals are a couple, Jacob, 35, and Ashley Spaur, 37, owners of Sour Apple Outfitters, who said they’re honored to serve at the 45th annual Mule Days. An admission button good for all three days is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $3 for ages 7-12. Daily admission is $5 for adults and seniors and $2 for youths. The schedule of events is: (Times may vary for class events.) Friday, Sept. 11 8 a.m. — Main gate opens 8 a.m. — Mule Show: Halter, showmanship classes and driving events. 9 a.m. — Exhibitors, vendors and Western gear in the Green and Quonset buildings. Noon — Log pull, mule races and more (to follow driving events). 1 p.m. — Mule Show: Timed Trail Class, warm-up arena & more fun classes in Main Arena. 7 p.m. — Max Walker Memorial Scholarship Cowboy Poetry Gathering. Emcee Andy Bales, OK Theatre, admission $10 adults, $5 children 12 and younger. Saturday, Sept. 12 8 a.m. — Main gate opens 8 a.m. — Mule Show — cattle sorting and penning classes. 9 a.m. — Exhibitors, vendors and Western gear in the Green and Quonset buildings. 9 a.m. — Free mule clinic “Saddle Fit” clinic, Livestock Pavilion. Noon — Nonmotorized parade, downtown Enterprise. 12:45 p.m. — Spectator children’s events — stick mule race and boot scramble for 4-9 year olds. 1 p.m. — Grand Entry and Mule Show, Main Arena Fun and entertaining events, driving classes, fast-ass express, speed ball, barrel racing, musical tires, pole bending, jump off challenge, more. 5 p.m. — Barbecue dinner on the green $15 in advance; $20 at the dinner. 7 p.m. — The Old West Trio, songs of the American cowboy. Andy Bales to open. OK Theatre $25-$20, Seniors, students, veterans. Sunday, Sept. 13 7:30 a.m. — Main gate opens 7:30 a.m. — Cowboy church, outdoor stage, Jeff Barnhart and Soul Renovation. Come for church and stay for breakfast. 9 a.m. — Mule Show trail class, English and Western pleasure, ranch riding, flapjack race, bareback $5 challenge and more. 9 a.m. — Exhibitors, vendors and Western gear in the Green and Quonset buildings. 9 a.m. — Dutch Oven Cook-Off. Two member teams, One pot cook-off, main dish and/or dessert.
