Университет Mount St. Joseph отметил столетие подготовки медсестер

Mount St. Joseph University on West Side marks 100 years of nursing education CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Mount St. Joseph University in Delhi is marking a century of educating nurses, highlighting a program that has evolved alongside major advances in healthcare while keeping its focus on compassionate patient care. The university began as a women’s college in 1920 and added nursing as a major in 1926. Today, nursing is part of the School of Health Sciences, with multiple paths for students, including a Bachelor of Science in nursing. The university also offers master’s and doctoral degrees in nursing. Even as technology has transformed the profession, the program has emphasized the importance of maintaining the human side of care. “At the end of the day, technology is inevitable but ensuring that you're still bringing your nurse back to the heart of nursing, which is ensuring that you're providing compassionate care and ethical care and seeing the patient that's in the bed as a human,” said Kristin Clephane, assistant dean and chairperson of nursing at Mount St. Joseph University. The university said hands-on learning opportunities and smaller class sizes are among the features that set its nursing program apart.
