Актриса Мона Мониане завершила шестилетний судебный процесс по разводу

Mona Monyane’s six-year divorce battle is finally over. The actress, known for her work on Muvhango and Skeem Saam, announced that her marriage to fellow performer Khulu Skenjana was legally dissolved on 28 August 2026. Quick facts - Monyane and Skenjana married in 2016. - They separated in 2020, with Monyane filing for divorce in February that year. - Their first child was born in 2017. - That same year, their second daughter, Amani-Amaza, died seven days after birth. - Monyane discussed the marriage, divorce and its aftermath on Showmax’s UnTied in 2025. “I broke down in tears,” Monyane wrote in an Instagram post shared last Friday. She said she had lodged the divorce papers in February 2020 and had only now reached the point of being free. The couple tied the knot in 2016 and publicly confirmed their separation four years later. However, bringing the marriage to a legal end became a lengthy and deeply difficult ordeal. Monyane credited Sithole NI and Associates Inc with helping her navigate the case without charging her. She said the firm intervened after she had allegedly been scammed and left vulnerable by a system she believes often fails women and children seeking protection. She expressed gratitude to the legal team for supporting her during the most challenging stages of the proceedings. Monyane also said she hoped to share practical legal information with other women facing the emotional trauma of a contested divorce. The marriage was also shaped by profound personal loss. Monyane and Skenjana welcomed their first child in 2017, but later that year their second daughter, Amani-Amaza, died just seven days after being born. In 2025, Monyane spoke openly about that tragedy, the collapse of her relationship and the work of rebuilding her life during an episode of the Showmax talk show UnTied. She addressed the heartbreak and painful realities surrounding both the marriage and the divorce. The divorce’s finalisation brings an unexpected end to a chapter that lasted much longer than Monyane had anticipated. She said the moment left her overcome with gratitude and thanked those who continued praying for her. “We got through it — I’m divorced,” she declared. In a related discussion, Monyane previously revealed that she feared she would die in the marriage while speaking about her divorce from Skenjana.
