Флот НАТО MRTT доставил гуманитарную помощь в Венесуэлу после землетрясения

NSPA's Multinational MRTT Fleet (MMF) supporting humanitarian missions NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) Aug 11 2026 LUXEMBOURG, 11 August 2026 -- The Multinational Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) Fleet (MMF) Programme, a flagship initiative managed by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), is continuing to demonstrate its versatility beyond traditional strategic airlift capabilities, by supporting global humanitarian missions. The programme provides participating Nations with shared air mobility capabilities, including air-to-air-refuelling, strategic airlift, and medical evacuation in modern, highly-efficient platforms, supporting NATO missions as required. These missions are executed by the Multinational MRTT Unit (MMU). From 27 to 29 July 2026 the MMF/MMU conducted a critical mission to Venezuela, following a devastating earthquake in the country, transporting a Czech relief team with supplies to the affected region, via Curacao. A collaborative effort, the programme worked alongside the European Air Transport Command (EATC) and the Czech Republic as a partner nation to ensure rapid deployment. Currently the programme includes nine participating NATO Nations: The fleet, owned by NATO and operated by the MMU from Eindhoven and Cologne air bases, is approaching its full capacity of 12 Airbus A330 MRTT aircraft, with a 10th aircraft scheduled for delivery later in 2026. In March 2026, the MMF declared Full Operating Capability, enabling the Fleet to execute all mission types to meet the full range of national and NATO requirements, both from home bases as well as during deployments. Between 4 and 16 March, the programme supported a large-scale evacuation operation in Egypt, assisting in the transportation of individuals from multiple nationalities during conflict in the Middle East. Ongoing support has also been provided following Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine with the fleet helping to protect NATO's Eastern Flank. The success of these missions is a direct result of strong cooperation between NATO nations and partner countries. The MMF, as a multinational effort, brings together diverse capabilities and expertise, enabling it to respond effectively to a wide range of tasks. These examples demonstrate the full range of the MMF programme in supporting NATO's collective defence missions while also contributing beyond military operations. By working collectively, nations ensure that our services are not only available for defence and deterrence, but also to support humanitarian assistance and crisis responses whenever required.
