Microsoft убирает встроенные компоненты Loop из веб-версии OneNote с сентября 2026 года

Summary - Microsoft is removing inline Loop components from OneNote for the web starting in mid-September 2026. - Existing Loop components won’t lose their data, but they’ll become links that open the content separately in Microsoft Loop. - The full inline Loop component experience will remain available in the OneNote desktop app for Windows. Microsoft is reportedly taking away Loop components from OneNote's web app. Starting in mid-September, you will no longer be able to use this useful productivity feature directly within your notes through the browser version. According to Neowin, Microsoft announced the change in Microsoft 365 Message Center post MC1454385. Existing Loop components won’t disappear or lose their data once the change takes effect. Instead, OneNote for the web will replace them with links that open the corresponding content in Loop. The full Loop component experience will remain available in the OneNote desktop app for Windows. OneNote's web version is about to become less capable and switching to the app is the only workaround If you haven’t used them before, Loop components are essentially live blocks of content that can be shared across Microsoft 365 apps. A checklist, table, task list, or other component added to OneNote can stay synchronized when people edit it elsewhere. The flexibility made possible through Microsoft Loop is an underrated feature that sets OneNote apart from other note-taking apps, especially when it comes to collaborative work. But once this change takes effect, the only way to keep using Loop components will be the OneNote desktop and mobile apps. Microsoft says the change is intended to “streamline” the OneNote for the web experience, but it also removes one of the features that makes the browser version useful for collaborative workflows. After the rollout, opening an existing Loop component in OneNote on the web will take you away from the note and into its corresponding Loop page instead of letting you work with the content directly where you embedded it. Microsoft’s recommendation is to just use the Windows desktop app instead. That isn’t ideal for people who intentionally rely on browser versions of desktop software. Web apps can be a practical way to avoid installing another program and keep a PC lighter, and OneNote’s web version has been capable enough to make that approach viable for many workflows.
