Фонд предупреждения преступности Малайзии представил планы по борьбе с преступностью и кибербезопасности в Сараваке

KUCHING (July 6): The Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Sarawak Chapter today outlined its crime prevention, youth empowerment and cyber safety initiatives during a courtesy call on Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at the Astana Negeri here.
According to a press release, the delegation also briefed Wan Junaidi on the foundation’s community outreach efforts and its strategic collaboration with enforcement agencies and educational institutions to promote crime prevention and public awareness.
The delegation was led by MCPF senior exco member Dato Sri Johny Ch’ng and included HELP University founder and MCPF member Prof Datuk Dr Paul Teo, HELP University director and MCPF member Adam Chan, MCPF exco member Dato Kenneth Ch’ng, as well as MCPF secretary Leonard Sabu.
During the courtesy visit, Teo also shared HELP University’s aspiration to establish a campus in Sarawak to contribute towards developing local human capital, research excellence and community engagement to which Wan Junaidi welcomed the proposal and acknowledged the role higher education institutions could play in supporting Sarawak’s long-term socio-economic development.
Recognising Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage, Wan Junaidi also encouraged HELP University to collaborate with relevant stakeholders in undertaking academic research and documentation on the state’s vanishing indigenous communities to preserve valuable historical, cultural and anthropological knowledge for future generations.
He commended MCPF Sarawak for its continued efforts in promoting crime prevention awareness and encouraged the foundation to further strengthen youth engagement, community education and preventive initiatives throughout the state.
He also congratulated MCPF Sarawak for being recognised as the best-performing state chapter in Malaysia, describing the achievement as a reflection of the foundation’s commitment and effectiveness since its establishment in 1993.
MCPF Sarawak said it remains steadfast in its commitment to working closely with the Sarawak government, educational institutions, enforcement agencies, community organisations and other strategic partners in implementing sustainable crime prevention programmes.
Through collective action, public education and community empowerment, it said it will continue to contribute towards safeguarding peace, strengthening social cohesion, and enhancing the quality of life for all Sarawakians.
