Шериф округа Макминн похвалил сотрудников за спасение жизни в трех инцидентах за неделю

MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy commended deputies for going above and beyond providing lifesaving support in multiple situations recently. Sheriff Joe Guy pointed out the the first lifesaving efforts happened a little over a week ago when Deputies Amber Cook, Kelby Liner, and Tyler Arrent responded to help a 12-year-old boy who was in cardiac arrest because a health issue his family did not know about. The deputies began lifesaving measures before AMR ambulance and local fire department personnel responded. "Doctors told the officers the health issue was usually fatal, but their quick and skilled response made the difference." Guy said the boy arrived home Thursday. He was welcomed by many of the first responders who helped him him. On Friday, Deputies Arrent, Liner, Cook, Zac Hawkins, Nate Stiles and Jeremy Moore were serving a search warrant at what Guy called a known drug house in Englewood when they found an unresponsive woman who was experiencing an overdose in the back of an upstairs attic. The deputies crawled through the cramped attic that was 120 degrees and pulled the woman out. Guy said once the woman was outside, Lt Bill Cherry and Deputy Brian Powers gave the woman lifesaving care along with AMR Director Lance McConkey and members of the Englewood Fire Department until an ambulance arrived. While shopping at Walmart off duty, she had found a small child that had been left in a vehicle for over half an hour. Guy said Andrus called for Athens Police and helped remove the child from the vehicle. "I'm so proud of these guys, and this is all JUST what's happened recently. It is literally every week lately that Inmates who collapse are saved by Corrections Officers and jail medical staff. Suspects are saved at crime scenes. Citizens in crashes or with health incidents are saved by responding deputies. They respond, apply their training, skills and tools, and show great initiative, leadership, and decision making that is literally saving lives," Guy wrote on social media. "If you see a McMinn Co Sheriffs Officer out in our community or school or restaurant or store, join me in telling them how much they are appreciated. They sure are a blessing to their boss."
