В зоопарке Уайлдвуд появился новый енот по имени Пеппер для поддержки одинокого сородича

Marshfield’s Wildwood Zoo welcomes new skunk MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) - Wildwood Zoo in Marshfield is introducing its newest addition, a young male skunk named Pepper. Weighing in at about one pound, Pepper is still young but is already showing off his personality to zookeepers at Wildwood. Zoo staff says Pepper’s arrival is an important step in supporting the well-being of Wildwood Zoo’s resident skunk, Poppy. Following the recent loss of Poppy’s sister, Violet, keepers noticed a significant decrease in his activity. “It’s obvious that Poppy isn’t meant to be a solo skunk. His decrease in activity was well noted with the absence of his sister,” said Zoo Manager Kyle Kirk. “Pepper is slotted to be joining the porcupine and skunk habitat soon, but he’ll also be one of our animal encounters in the coming weeks”.
