Marquette Unveils Bermuda Study Programme Marquette University has announced that Bermuda will be one of the destinations for its study abroad offerings, with an Insurance Leadership Program scheduled to take place on the island in March 2027. The programme, organised through the Wisconsin-based University’s College of Business Administration, will give students an opportunity to learn about Bermuda’s insurance and reinsurance sector and engage with executives working in insurance and financial services. Applications are due by November 15, 2026, with the Bermuda programme one of multiple Marquette Business study abroad offerings planned, with other destinations including Germany, Singapore, Portugal, Czechia, Colombia and Switzerland. As it pertains to Bermuda the university said, “What if a single week could give you a front‑row seat to one of the most powerful industries in the global economy? Bermuda—known as the world’s leading hub for insurance and reinsurance—offers students an unparalleled opportunity to see how global business really works. In this immersive program, students step out of the classroom and into the boardrooms of major insurance and financial services firms, engaging directly with executives who manage risk, innovation, and capital across continents. From cyber risk and fintech to reinsurance and private equity, students will experience the breadth of an industry that quietly shapes economies and responds to the world’s most complex challenges. “This program is fast‑paced, interactive, and designed for students who want exposure, access, and clarity about their future careers. Students will participate in company visits, executive‑led discussions, case studies, and networking opportunities that go far beyond a typical lecture. With faculty and industry leaders alongside them throughout the week, students are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and think creatively about global insurance solutions—culminating in a collaborative startup project focused on real issues facing Bermuda’s insurance sector. Along the way, students gain professional confidence, build meaningful connections, and discover how a career in insurance can be global, innovative, and impactful. This Bermuda immersion isn’t just a trip—it’s a launching point for students ready to explore what’s possible in a world‑class industry.”
