Шестилетний ученик успешно справился с первыми целями в первый день школы

LPS kindergartner checks off first-day goals on first day of school LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Drake Amen had been preparing all summer for his first day of kindergarten at Humann Elementary. He arrived Wednesday with light-up sneakers and a dinosaur lunchbox — and a clear goal already in mind. “Making friends,” Drake said. Like many students starting their first day of school, Drake was a little timid heading in. But the night before, after returning home from open house, his family made it a moment to remember. “We throwed confetti up in the air,” Drake said. “I wished mommy could be with me inside the school.” That wish came true. Drake’s mother, Mattie, is a counselor at Humann Elementary. The two also came prepared with matching bracelets in case Drake missed her during the day. “I feel very very proud of him but also just excited and giddy at the same time because I get to see all of this,” Mattie said. Drake made two friends before lunch — and went straight to his mom to share the news. “I saw her in the lunchroom,” Drake said. Mattie said she was ready with a celebration. “I was like, way to go buddy,” she said. Drake said he is already looking forward to going back Thursday. Mattie said she plans to be watching every step of the way. “I’m just in awe that I get a front row seat to this,” she said.
